Do you store my audio?

No. Your audio file is deleted immediately after brief generation. We never persist it.

Do you store my brief?

Briefs are held in memory long enough to deliver them to your screen and email. Generated export files including PDF, DOCX, TXT, SRT, Markdown, RTF, HTML, and CSV are deleted from our servers within two hours of generation.

What languages do you support?

Trootone supports English and major global languages, with African language support in beta organised by region. West Africa: French, Twi, Akan, Fante, Ga, Ewe, Dagbani, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Wolof, Mandinka, Fula, Krio, Bambara. East Africa: Swahili, Amharic, Somali, Tigrinya, Oromo, Luganda, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Dinka. Southern Africa: Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Shona, Ndebele, Sesotho, Setswana, Chichewa. What file formats can I upload?

MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, and OGG. Maximum file size is 500 MB. Maximum duration depends on your tier: 10 minutes (Free), 30 minutes (Quick Take), 45 minutes (Weekly), or 90 minutes (Deep Work).

How accurate are the briefs?

Trootone generates your brief directly from your audio. Names, technical terms, and words spoken with regional accents may occasionally be misheard. We always recommend a quick review before forwarding a brief externally.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no login, no password, and no dashboard. Multi-brief packs (Weekly and Deep Work) are tied to a private magic link emailed to you.

What's the difference between the brief formats?

Trootone offers nine brief formats. Detailed covers the full summary, key points, action items, decisions, risks, follow-up deadlines, and notable quotes. Executive gives you five board-ready bullets. Action-Only gives you the to-do list with no commentary. Client Debrief is structured for consultants and account managers covering client concerns, commitments, and open items. Technical Summary is built for engineers and technical teams covering decisions, blockers, specifications, next sprint items, and open technical questions. Research Brief is for researchers and academics covering questions, methodologies, findings, gaps, and next steps. Data and Metrics covers key figures, targets, trends, data gaps, and visualisation suggestions. Legal Record is the formal version for board and committee meetings covering parties present, matters discussed, resolutions passed, and action items. Workshop is for facilitated sessions covering themes generated, decisions reached, action owners, and the parking lot. Standard formats cost plus $2. Specialist formats cost plus $3. Data and Metrics costs plus $4.

What export formats does Trootone support?

Trootone supports eight export formats. PDF and DOCX are formatted documents ready to share or file. TXT is plain text. Markdown works in Notion, Obsidian, GitHub, and any Markdown-compatible tool. RTF opens in virtually every word processor. HTML is ready to paste into any website or email template. SRT is a timestamped subtitle file compatible with Premiere, Final Cut, and DaVinci Resolve. CSV is available for Data and Metrics briefs and imports directly into Excel or Google Sheets. Exporting a single format costs $1 to $2. All formats together cost $6.

Can I get a refund if the brief is wrong?

Because processing begins immediately after payment is confirmed, we do not offer refunds once a brief has been generated. If something went wrong technically and your brief was not delivered, email hello@trootone.com with your reference number and we will process your brief manually or resolve it within 24 hours. We look at every flag.

How does the Free tier work?

One free brief per email and per device, up to 10 minutes of audio, Detailed format, TXT download with a Trootone watermark. No card required. Verify your email and you're done.

Does Deep Work include a follow-up email and tone control?

Yes. Deep Work briefs include a built-in follow-up email generator that drafts a professional post-meeting email from the brief in the tone you choose: Formal, Warm, or Executive. Deep Work briefs also include the Tone Engine, which can re-tone the brief itself into Authoritative, Executive, Client-Safe, Warm, or Standard. Both tools are available straight from the brief delivery screen, no separate purchase.

Do you offer team plans?

Trootone for Teams is being built and we are opening 20 founding member spots across three tiers before launch. Pioneer is $500 one time and includes 5 spots, 3 team seats, and 40 briefs per month. Builder is $750 one time and includes 7 spots, 8 team seats, and 100 briefs per month. Architect is $1,200 one time and includes 8 spots, 20 team seats, and 250 briefs per month. Every founding tier locks in a permanent 20 percent discount on the standard monthly rate, three months free at launch, and direct input into what gets built. What is Conversation Intelligence?

Conversation Intelligence is an optional add-on available on all paid tiers for an additional $5. When selected your brief includes speaker labels showing who said what throughout the meeting, a sentiment analysis summary showing the emotional tone of each speaker, and automatic topic chapters that divide longer recordings into named sections with summaries. Processing takes slightly longer for longer recordings when Conversation Intelligence is enabled.

What currencies does Trootone accept?

Trootone pricing is displayed in USD so professionals anywhere in the world can understand the cost at a glance. Payments are processed in local currency through Paystack, which supports card payments, mobile money, and bank transfer across Africa and beyond. You do not need a foreign card or an international billing account. Pay the way you already pay.
